Managing Transformations

Managing transformations involves:

  • Editing transformations
  • Running impact analysis report on transformations
  • Viewing history
  • Deleting transformations

To edit transformations, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Application Menu > Data Catalog > Mapping Manager.
  2. Under the Workspace Mappings pane, click the Transformations node.

    3. The Transformation Details page appears.

  3. In the Transformation Details grid, select a transformation and right-click it.
  4. Click Edit Transformation Details.

    5. Transformation Rule Editor page appears.

  5. Edit the fields as desired.
  6. Click .

    7. The transformation is updated.

To run impact analysis on transformations, follow these steps:

  1. In Transformation Details grid, select a transformation and right-click it.

  2. Hover over the Impact Analysis Report and click Default Search.

    3. The list of projects and mappings appears where the transformation was used.

To view history of transformations, follow these steps:

  1. Right-click a transformation.
  2. Click History.

    3. The history of the transformation appears.

To delete the transformation, follow these steps:

  1. Right-click a transformation.
  2. Click Delete.

    3. A warning message appears.

  3. Click Yes.

    4. The transformation is deleted.

    Note: If the transformation was used in the Mapping Specification, then it will still be there. But, it will not be available for future use.
